The talks on the introduction of a visa-free regime between the EU and Russia are too politicized and are being deliberately delayed’, Russia`s envoy to the EU Vladimir Chizhov said in an interview with the Rossiyiskaya Gazeta. Mr. Chizhov noted that the decision to introduce a visa-free regime was made more than 6 years ago but the issue still remains unsettled because the EU member states have different views on the matter. However, Chizhov added that states of the former Yugoslavia had managed to overcome all bureaucratic barriers to introduce a visa-free regime starting from January 1, 2010.
