Russian church vandalized in Jerusalem

Dec 14, 2009 19:56 Moscow Time
The Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Russian Church Mission in Jerusalem was vandalized early on December 11.
'Death to Christians' was written in Hebrew in large letters near the cathedral , the Russian Church Mission spokesman father Theophan said.

A statement was made to the Jerusalem police, though the police says there are few chances to find the guilty as the church had no video security.
Theophan said that the Russian Mission has asked a permission to build a fence around the church but got refusals.
“Hope this incident will serve as an argument”, said the spokesman.
