The two Koreas should show restrain and avoid armed conflicts  in disputed waters in the Yellow Sea, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexei Sazonov has said , commenting on the North’s decision to conduct war games in the area in the near future. In a statement on Tuesday, Pyongyang indicated intent to hold its coastal artillery drills in response to what it called continued military provocations from the South. The reclusive Communist nation has repeatedly scorned the two’s demarcation line in the Yellow Sea, established in the wake of the 1950-53 Korean war and currently seen as a disputed sea border between Pyongyang and Seoul. Last month, the two’s navies exchanged fire in the area in a first shoot-out in seven years.
