Russia hopes to keep up with the United States in the space race and launch a new manned spacecraft by 2017, the head of Russia’s Energy space corporation, Vitaly Lopota, said adding that Russia is going to enter the market with its new unmanned spacecraft in 2015. He also noted that in 2010 US plans no more launches of costly multiple reentry shuttle-class vehicles. New Russia’s multiple reentry spacecraft is expected to be used in lunar expeditions.
