President Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated prominent Russian physicist Yevgeny Velikhov on his 75th birthday. Medvedev specifically cited Velikhov’s considerable contribution to the Russian science, not least nuclear physics plus sophisticated nano- and bio-technologies. Right now, Velikhov is coordinating efforts to create a first-ever International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor in history.
