Romania to deploy US ABMs

Romania is ready to deploy US ABM interceptors, France Press agency has reported quoting Romania’s president Traian Basescu. US president Barack Obama stated changes in the US ABM system last September. Washington has not rejected a Europe-deployed ABM system, but postponed it up till 2015.The main candidates for ABM deployment are Poland and the Czech Republic. However, Obama invited Romania to join the program after a Supreme Defense Council session. Romania is to deploy medium-range land-based interceptors. The talks on the issue are to begin shortly.
