Bulgaria accepts Russia’s nuclear power plant project

The Bulgarian National Energy  Company/ NEC/ has approved Russia’s project for the Belene nuclear power plant, ITAR-TASS new agency informs quoting  Russia’s  "Atomstroiexport" company. The next step is getting the Bulgarian Nuclear Department’s permission to construct the plant. According to the vice-president of the company Gennady Tepkyan, the Russian project corresponds to all European standards. The proposed power plant is the only one approved by the Euro Commission as safe and secure.
