Three containers, one with noxious chemicals, are reported to have dropped from the Finnish cargo ship “Linda” sailing from Rotterdam to St.Petersburg. The ship’s owner says the incident occurred on Saturday south of Gotland Island. Reports say one of the crates contained spices, another one – nonhazardous chemicals and one was with toxic substances used in the production of plastics. The crew discovered the loss 20 minutes after. By the time a Swedish patrol plane arrived on the scene to help in the searches all the containers had sunk.
