Iran contacts IAEA about higher uranium enrichment

Iran has sent a letter to the International Atomic Energy Agency  (IAEA) telling about its decision to begin a 20-percent enrichment of uranium. According to  Iranian TV, the letter was forwarded by  Iran’s permanent representative to the IAEA Ali-Asghar Soltanie. On February 7th the president Mahmud Ahmadinejad ordered the start of the production of 20-percent enriched uranium for the Tehran Research Reactor. According to Iran’s Atomic Agency head Ali Akbar Salehi, work is  to  begin on February 10th at the Natanz nuclear centre.
