President of European Parliament ‘Ukrainian election is fair’

President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek has congratulated the Ukrainians on the fair election stating that the current political crisis can’t affect the firm democratic foundation of the Ukrainian society. Head of the international experts Alexey Kochetkov says there were recorded no gross violations in the polling. According to the preliminary results of the Ukrainian presidential run-off Yulia Timoshenko is 3% behind Viktor Yanukovich. Ms Timoshenko says she is certain the election was rigged. She is now going to appeal it in court, calling for the third round.
