Noted Russian political scientist turns 85

Valentin Zorin.
The Voice of Russia’s prominent political analyst Valentin Zorin turns 85 on Tuesday. Also an academician and laureate of Soviet and Russian State Prizes, Zorin contributed considerably to creating the Moscow-based Institute for US and Canadian Studies. He remains one of Russia’s most eminent US experts. During his 60-year career, Zorin has conducted interviews with many noted and high-level politicians; including Charles de Gaulle, Indira Gandhi, Margaret Thatcher and Helmut Kohl. Currently he is the host of the Voice of Russia’s, "A View From Moscow", program.
