Plyushchenko made Sochi Olympics envoy
At a ceremony in Vancouver on Saturday, the Russian Olympic Committee made the three-time Olympic medal winner, 27-year-old figure skater Yevgeni Plyushchenko an Ambassador for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. He is joining a constellation of such Ambassadors, which already includes the ice hockey legends Sergei Fyodorov and Alexander Ovechkin, the figure skaters Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin and the ski racer Nikita Kryukov. Plyushchenko is a global heartthrob.
