Well-known Russian film director Vladimir Motyl died late on Sunday in one of Moscow’s hospitals at the age of 82, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the director’s daughter Irina Motyl. On February 5th Vladimir Motyl was taken to one of Moscow’s clinics. The film director had been alone at home when he suffered a seizure and was unable to open the door when the ambulance arrived. After subsequent medical examination the doctors discovered Motyl had fractures of the neck vertebra and pneumonia. Vladimir Motyl shot his first film "Children of Pamirs" back in 1963. He was also the author of such Soviet film masterpieces as "The Captivating Star of Happiness", "White Sun of the Desert", “Zhenya, Zhenechka and Katyusha”, and others. His last film “Crimson color of snowfall’ was finished in 2009.
