Iranian security forces have arrested the leader of the Sunni Muslim militant group Jundullah, seen by many as a terrorist organization, news agencies reported on Wednesday. Abdolmalek Rigi is said to be behind a series of deadly bombings in Iran that have claimed the lives of more than 200 people. He was flying to Western Europe via Kyrgyzstan before his arrest, a security agent said without elaborating. Earlier, Iranian Information Minister Heidar Moslehi blamed the United States for collaborating with Jundullah, alleging that Rigi had been in a US military base 24 hours before his capture and that the US had issued Rigi with an Afghan passport. Commentators point to a close cooperation between Jundullah, or Allah Warriors, and al-Qaeda.
