Russia’s KAMAZ truck manufacturer is opening an assembly plant in India’s city of Hosur at the joint Kamaz Vectra Motors Ltd venture today. Last March the countries signed an agreement to set up a joint venture to produce 5,000 vehicles per year. The plant becomes the fifth joint venture of Kamaz outside Russia. It already has assembly plants in Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Iran and Vietnam.
