Russia and Iran have agreed about cooperation in animal and environmental protection. The countries mapped out a plan for protecting endangered species, including the leopard, the Siberian tiger and the Siberian white crane. Russia’s Minister for Natural Resources Yury Trutnev discussed these issues in Iran on February 25th. The parties signed a memorandum on cooperation in conserving biodiversity. Then, the countries will discuss a possible cooperation in the Caspian Sea environment protection and ecological legislation and education.
