No proposals yet at UN on anti-Iran sanctions
A source in Russian UN permanent mission says the Russian delegation has not received any proposals concerning the details of the draft of the new sanctions resolution against Iran from any Western country, though the US has earlier said it had given such proposals to Russia and China. The day before, Russian permanent representative in the UN Vitaliy Churkin said the Russian delegation had not received any instruction from Moscow to start work on the resolution. The UN Security Council wants to impose sanctions on Iran because Iran hasn’t fulfilled the demands to stop uranium enrichment.
