Russian Federal Space agency Roskosmos plans to launch more than 20 microsatellites aimed for scientific purposes to the orbit this year, Interfax news agency reported Monday citing the agency's deputy head Anatoly Shilov. According to Shilov, these satellites are low-cost space vehicles and each of them will carry only one scientific facility. They will be launched together with bigger space vehicles. If this technology works smoothly the agency will begin the mass launch of such microsatellites. These vehicles will help researchers to study solar radiation, carry out experiments in astrophysics and to solve other scientific tasks.
