Germany’s first Orthodox school is due to open in Hamburg, says the Father Superior of the Russian Orthodox Church in Hamburg, archpriest Sergei Baburin in an interview with the Deutsche Welle radio station. According to him, it will take him about a year to obtain authorization to open a new school. So classes for the first to the sixth form students will begin next year. Schoolchildren will be taught religious subjects in German, and also their own native language, whether Russian, Serbian or Greek.
