The cars damaged on the Moscow ring road during an accident caused by the road police operation will be fixed at the expense of the Moscow police and the drivers will receive monetary compensation, ITAR-TAS reported Thursday citing a statement by the Moscow road safety service. On March 5, Moscow traffic cops ordered civilian motorists to park their cars across the highway and remain inside to block a fleeing criminal suspect. As a result several cars were damaged. The authorities promised citizens that the similar incidents will never be repeated and the policemen who were guilty of this affair will be punished. One of them, Colonel Alexander Kozlov has already been fired from police.
