Russia welcomes the parliamentary elections in Iraq, Foreign Ministry's spokesman Andrei Nesterenko told a press conference in Moscow.  He said it is important that representative of all political parties had taken part in the elections. "This opens the way towards national concord and stronger independence, provides the nation an option to settle their domestic problems and to use natural resources independently", he said. Nesterenko noted that the election on March 7 had been held in a difficult situation. But despite explosions in several towns which killed dozens of people and injured more than 100,  the Iraq nation expressed its will, he said.
