Russian Formula-1 racer comes in 16th

Russian racer Vitaly Petrov was the 16th in the opening practice session of the Formula One season at the Bahrain Grand Prix. German Adrian Sutil who drives for Force India set the fastest time. Ferrari's Fernando Alonso from Spain and Pole Robert Kubica of Renault were the second and the third respectively. Seven-time winner of Formula One 1 Michael Schumacher who signed the contact with Mercedes was 10. Earlier this year Vitaly Petrov became the first Russian to compete in the series after landing a drive with Renault.
