Russia sends second humanitarian planeload to Chile

Russia has sent the second planeload of humanitarian cargo to Chile. The plane took off from the Ramenskoye airport outside Moscow to deliver electric generators, tents, blankets and rescue equipment to the quake-hit areas. The planes also have mobile hospital and doctors. Chile suffered three quakes last Thursday in the city of Rancagua located to the south of Santiago. Chile’s leader Sebastian Pinera announced “ a state of catastrophe” in the region populated by 780,000 people. The country suffered the aftershock 8.8 magnitude quake last Saturday. As of today, 497 people suffered from the disaster, at least 500 are wounded and hundreds missing.
