Russia’s president Dmitry Medvedev forwarded his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari a letter of condolences after a series of blasts which hurt more 200 people.

“ Russia condemns violence of extremists and is ready for  joint fight against terrorism” the letter says. The president also extended his condolences to the relatives of the victims.  A car blown up in  the trade area of the city of Lahore killed at least 60 and injured 140 people. This was the forth blast this day alone. Death toll may grow as many injured are in a bad condition. The police find more terrorist acts possible as a group of suicide bombers arrived at the city earlier.
