Russia to build a cathedral in Paris

Russia has filed a formal claim to more than 4,000 square meters of prime land in downtown Paris, right next to the Eiffel Tower. This country plans to employ a team of Russian and French architects to build there an Orthodox cathedral and several religious buildings. In February Russia won a tender for the plot, which is now home to a Meteo-France office.
