| Mar 15, 2010 00:03 Moscow Time |
A moderate, magnitude 5.0 earthquake rattled Chile on Sunday with the US Geological Survey saying the epicenter was 35 km deep some 100 km northwest of the town of Temuco. We have no immediate reports so far about human casualties and material damage caused by the temblor. A Force 8.8 quake that hit Chile on February 27 and the resulting tsunami left more than 500 people dead, hundreds others missing and either destroyed or severely damaged over 1.5 million houses.
