Pope Benedict XVI meets Protestants in Rome

Pope Benedict XVI paid his first visit to a Lutheran church in Rome. Addressing the congregation, Pope said that Protestants and Roman Catholics should be thankful for a possibility to achieve unity in prayer. On 17 January Benedict XVI paid a historic visit to the synagogue in Rome. In June he is expected in Cyprus at the invitation of the local Orthodox eparchy.
