Russian airborne hospital starts operation in Chile

The Russian airborne hospital of the Emergencies Ministry Rescue Service has started operation in Chile, which has recently been hit by a series of devastating earthquakes. Russian doctors have performed four major surgical operations in the past 24 hours. The hospital with all of its special-purpose equipment and medicaments, and also doctors and Emergencies Ministry experts arrived in Chile on the 13th of this month. Earlier the hospital was used to provide medical assistance for the Haitians who had suffered from an extremely powerful earthquake that hit the Caribbean nation in January.
