Medvedev meets military top brass in Kremlin

Russia's President Dmitri Medvedev met senior officers of the Russian armed forces in the Kremlin on Monday. The president stresses the importance of the law enforcement agencies, and the military forces for protection of national sovereignty and security. He said that Russia will work on raising the professional level of its Armed Forces and at the same time on solving social problems of the servicemen. He noted that recently the government had begun to tackle such a sore and old problem as providing all servicemen with housing.
