The global economic crisis has failed to ride roughshod over ever-increasing exports of Russia’s dual-purpose production, Vice Premier Sergei Ivanov told reporters on Tuesday, citing 86 countries that got Russia’s dual-purpose products last year. The figure is a far cry from what the situation was like in 2008, Ivanov explained, underscoring the importance of expanding a high-tech sector in Russia. More efforts are needed to further develop nanotechnologies and telecommunications plus space and energy sector, Ivanov pointed out.
