Bolshoi ballet expanding to Brazil

A Brazil-based ballet school with the Moscow Bolshoi Theater will soon get its own stage in the Brazilian town of Joinville, Bolshoi Director-General Anatoly Ivanov told journalists on Tuesday. A total of 260 children currently go to what is now the one and only Bolshoi ballet school in Brazil, Ivanov said. Earlier, a Bolshoi delegation with Ivanov at the helm arrived in Joinville to take part in celebrations dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the opening of the internationally recognized school.
