French ambassador to Georgia perplexed at Imedi hoax

The French ambassador to Georgia, Eric Fournier, has sent an open letter to the Director General of the Georgian Imedi TV channel asking to explain why his name was mentioned in a bogus news report on a Russian invasion of Georgia the company showed on 13 March. The diplomat asks the TV company to send the original footage to him so that he could analyze it more carefully. Mr. Fournier agrees with his US counterpart, who described the report as ‘unprofessional’.
