| Mar 16, 2010 19:37 Moscow Time |
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) says this year’s Earth Hour climate awareness campaign may hit the 2009 record as thousands of cities in 107 countries, including six out of 10 most populous cities, have confirmed their participation in the event. On March 27 at 8:30 p.m everyone who cares about the future of our planet will turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. Iconic landmarks all around the world, including the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Colosseum in Rome and Empire State Building in New York will turn off their lighting as well.
