As vote counting continues in Iraq’s March 7 parliamentary elections, the Al-Iraqiya liberal-patriotic bloc headed by the former Prime Minister Ayad Allawi is leading with 9,000 votes ahead of the State of Law bloc led by the current Premier Nouri Al-Maliki, according to the latest reports from the Higher Elections Commission. The final results are expected on March 18.
