South of France hosts Russian culture festival

Sergei Eisenstein’s film “Alexander Nevsky” will open a Russian culture festival in Tarbes in southern France. Also screening will be “Czar” directed by Pavel Lungin, “Everyone Will Die but I Will Stay” by Valeria Gay-Germanika, “Glamor” by Andrei Konchalovsky and “The Twelve” by Nikita Mikhalkov. The drama playbill presents Ivan Turgenev’s classical play “A Month in the Country” and a post-modernist play by Vladimir Sorokin “Dostoyevsky-Trip”. A series of music concerts featuring classic and modern Russian and European composers will be held.
