The Russian aero-mobile hospital in Santiago stays open around the clock, receiving up to 20 quake victims per day. Forty-five medics from the Tsentrospas center, seven from the Zashchita all-Russia center of disaster medicine and a team of emergency psychologists have been working on the territory of the Sotero del Rio hospital for five successive days. They have helped more than 80 victims and performed 30 surgeries. Chile is recovering from a series of devastating earthquakes, the largest of them 8.8 in magnitude. About 500 people were killed and scores have been unaccounted for.
