The legendary German rock band "Scorpions" will visit Moscow on March 18th as part of their farewell tour. The concert will show whether the musicians have preserved those "combat" qualities, thanks to which the group was called "a hurricane on stage", and whether their audience still accounts for thousands of fans, or not.

Those visiting the single concert in the Russian capital will be able to buy the farewell album of the German rockers "Sting in the Tail", which will officially hit the market next day. The two-year world tour was actually arranged in support of the album. According to the band's leader Rudolph Schenker, the musicians intend to leave the scene with the "Sting in the Tail", since it is considered to be their best work.

Despite numerous gold and platinum albums of the band, there is some uncertainty about whether the musicians will manage to attract a large audience or not, given that only eight thousand visitors came to their concert in Prague. The far-seeing Russian organizers have prepared a ten-thousand-people music venue. And in Soviet times, German rockers performed for 80 thousand spectators at the Luzhniki stadium.

At present, almost all the 10,000 tickets were sold two days before the concert, according to the organizers of the Moscow performance. This seems to be even less than the audience in Prague, with regard to Moscow's 10-million-polulation.

After the band's performance, the Czech musical critics noticed that the true fans of the musicians are now raising their grandchildren, while the youth is interested in other musical styles. Russian concert managers have another opinion in this respect. A press-service representative has this to say:

"The organizers recently complied with a request of a 19-year-old blind girl, who called them and asked for a ticket to the "Scorpions" concert. It is obvious that the age of the audience is diverse, says the press-service representative".

The Moscow public will surely enjoy both the songs of the Scorpions' latest album and their old world-famous hits.
