Policeman shot dead in Dagestan

Unknown gunmen shot and killed a police officer during an overnight attack on Friday in Russia’s troubled southern republic of Dagestan.  According to local law enforcement officials the policeman died when the car he was driving in came under fire shortly after midnight.
