Russian skier wins 4th Paralympic gold

Russian skier Irek Zaripov won his fourth Paralympic gold in Vancouver clocking the best time in the 10 km Sitting race on Thursday. Italy’s Enzo Masiello finished second with Dmitry Loban of Belarus bowing out with the bronze award. Zaripov, 26, earlier excelled in the 12.5 km biathlon, 2.4 km pursuit and the 15 km ski race events. Team Russia tops the Paralympics’ medals table with 28 awards: 9 golds, 12 silvers and 7 bronzes.
