Russia leads Paralympics with 28 medals

Russia’s Irek Zaripov won the gold medal in 10-kilometer sitting ski race at the Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver on Thursday. This is Zaripov`s fourth medal at the current competitions. Kirill Mikhailov came second. The female skiers, Mikhalina Lysova and Tatiana Ilyushenko, won silver and bronze in 5-kilometer race for athletes with poor eyesight. The Russian Paralympic team continues to lead with 28 medals (nine gold, 12 silver, 7 bronze) followed by Germany (17 medals) and Ukraine (15).
