Russia’s naval command has scheduled another series of tests of the sea-based ballistic missile “Bulava” for late June. The RIA-Novosti news agency quotes a high-ranking Russian General Naval Headquarters officer as saying that the missile will be launched from submarines The Dmitry Donskoi and The Yuri Dolgorukiy. The source told the agency that one test would be a multiple launch. The RIA-Novosti news agency adds in the report that if the planned testing proves successful, the latest, fourth-generation, submarine The Yuri Dolgorukiy together with its “Bulava” service missile will be commissioned before the year is out.
