Medvedev OK's defense industry plan

President Dmitry Medvedev has approved the guidelines for the development of the national defense industry till 2020. He made the relevant statement on Friday meeting Deputy Prime Minister Sergey Ivanov. In his turn Ivanov said that this document is in line with the national military doctrine and takes into considerations possible obstacles which may arise during the plan's implementation. He added that 1,729 companies in the defense industrial sector will take part in the plan's implementation.
