Reset button works - Lavrov, Clinton
Russia and the United States believe the much touted resetting of relations works and bears fruit in the form of broader contacts and better ties in all fields. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his American counterpart Hillary Clinton told this to reporters at a retreat outside Moscow Friday after emerging from a meeting which also involved President Dmitri Medvedev. Mr. Lavrov quoted the Russian President as praising Barack Obama for bringing about a welcome turnaround from a bilateral cool-off under George W. Bush. Mrs. Clinton spoke about the progress of cooperation in technology, science and sport, as well as foreign policy and security matters.
