| Mar 19, 2010 21:02 Moscow Time |
Injury is to keep the Russian figure-skating legend Yevgeni Plushchenko away from a championship in Turin, which opens next Tuesday. He is not expected to be fit until after two weeks. The leading Russian competitor in Turin will be Sergei Voronov. Plushchenko won gold at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. In Vancouver this year, he came second to a figure-skater from the United States. Many spectators disagreed and accused the judges of bias.
