Russia looks forward to fruitful coordination with Qatar in marketing natural gas. Prime Minister Putin told this to his Qatari counterpart Jassim Al Thani at a meeting with him in Moscow on Wednesday. Both saw such coordination as quite natural, because Russia holds the world’s biggest reserves of gas, and Qatar, the third biggest after this country and Iran. They also hoped a recently agreed joint venture between the national gas company of Qatar and Russia’s Gazprom would unfold into a whole range on joint investment projects. Putin urged action to quickly overcome a crisis-time slump in bilateral trade.
