Gas agreements with Ukraine well-balanced - Putin

Gas agreements with Ukraine are well-balanced, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told a press conference late Thursday after talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Nikolay Azarov. He added that Russia and Ukraine will continue to discuss bilateral gas issues including the reduction of the gas price. Speaking about the creation of a consortium for the modernization of Ukraine's gas transit system, Putin said Russia is even ready to invest money in it. In his turn Nikolai Azarov said that Ukraine guarantees to pay for March gas supplies by April 7, meeting the terms of the contract.
