Venezuela to procure $5bn worth of Russian arms

 Venezuela is to procure 5 billion dollars worth of Russian-produced arms. Prime Minister Putin announced this to a high-level meeting of defence industrialists in Moscow Monday. He praised their sector for raising its output by an impressive 13 percent last year  and hoped it would also use anti-crisis support for modernization and meeting the need of this country’s armed forces in latest precision weapon systems. The Premier also criticized many defence companies for insufficient frugality and waste.
