No extension of military service-Medvedev

A one-year term of military service in Russia will not be extended, the country`s President Dmitry Medvedev said at the meeting with officers and men of a motorized infantry battalion in Taman, Krasnodar region. Mr. Medvedev thinks that one year is enough to train a good soldier. He asked the young men to encourage their friends to join the army.
