Russia to supply wheat to Egypt

Russia has won an international tender for the supply of 180 thousand tons of wheat to Egypt, edging out American competitors.

According to the Bloomberg News Agency, the contract was concluded on Friday.

Egypt is the world's largest importer of wheat.

The deal confirms Russia’s leading position on the world grain market, independent experts note.Russian producers and suppliers are edging out the Americans.Over the past 12 months, wheat exports by the United States have fallen by 17 percent.
