The Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has survived the opposition’s motion of no-confidence in his Cabinet by a large margin.

The opposition demanded that the Prime Minister and his Cabinet should step down on charges of corruption, inability to rule the nation and human rights violations during the opposition’s more than two month long protests.

88 people died and over 1,500 were injured when the demonstrations were broken up in the Thai capital last month.
